ABOUT US
Welcome to the Tundra Rose! We offer quality log cottages and guest rooms along the scenic Glenn Highway between the cities of Palmer and Glennallen. We are located at the closest point between the Talkeetna and Chugach Mountain ranges, just 2 hours from Anchorage. Enjoy unsurpassed Matanuska Glacier and mountain views from every cottage and observe Dall Sheep on the mountain range to the north.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Wildlife Viewing & Bird Watching
We are located at the base of the Sheep Mountain Dall Sheep Reserve and are recognized by the Audobon society as a path for raptors. Guests may see moose, bear, lynx, and more.
Hikes & Walks
The area offers everything from leisurely strolls to full day hikes. We have several nice trails from the property that lead to spectacular views. The surrounding areas offer a variety of scenery, from hikes into the Dall Sheep reserve that look back at the Matanuska Glacier to creek bed walks into the gorgeous rust colored mountains of Sheep Mountain.

One of the only glaciers in the state you can walk on and explore up close - you won't want to miss it! Try out guided ice trekking and ice climbing. A variety of options are available for most abilities, with professional instruction for easy treks to climbing ice walls.
